Cupcake Royale is not just cupcakes anymore — the Seattle-based bakery has announced that it’s launching a line of ice cream as well.
The new Cupcake Royale Brand Ice Cream will use cream without any added growth hormones, featuring locally tied flavors such as Whiskey Maple Bacon Crack (bacon brittle) — made with Woodinville Whiskey and Zoe’s Meats bacon — and Washington Hazelnut Brittle with Salted Ganache.
They have been sourcing great local, seasonal and natural ingredients from local farmers and producers for their cupcakes and the new ice cream line. A separate Cupcakes ‘n’ Cream line mixes the bakery’s cupcakes into ice cream flavors. The chain will also offer ice cream sandwiches and milkshakes.
Cupcake Royale is launching the new ice cream offerings in its cafes June 30, on the same day as the opening of its sixth café, at 108 Pine St. in downtown Seattle.
